Our volunteers not only help strengthen our community but strengthen themselves through meaningful experiences and purposeful impact.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

FRONT DESK / GREETER

The Y is the front porch of our community and we're looking for people who want to help their neighbors. In this position, you'll get to know our members and guests, assist with questions or requests, and provide excellent customer service.

 

CHILD WATCH

What’s better than spending a little time with young children each week?  In this role, you would join a team member to play with and provide care in our Child Watch room.  We are looking for people with childcare experience who would appreciate the reward of helping children.  

 

CUSTODIAL / MAINTENANCE

A quality member experience at the Y begins with maintaining a healthy environment. This is accomplished through consistent cleaning and maintenance of the facility and equipment. We’re looking for people with maintenance skills, an interest in general deep cleaning, and more.

YOUTH SPORTS COACH

This is where the love for a sport begins! We're looking for people who enjoy working with kids, have sport-specific knowledge, and can be a role model for sportsmanship and fair play. We do all the heavy lifting so you can have a rewarding coaching experience!

 

GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR

Health and fitness are what we do! We're looking for people who can lead energizing, safe, and educational land or water group exercise classes. You'll build authentic relationships and help people achieve their wellness goals. Part-time employment opportunities are also available. 

 

SPECIAL EVENTS

The Y hosts a variety of special events throughout the year for our members and the greater Marshall community. Check back often for current opportunities or let us know now that you're interested in an upcoming event.
