A THRIVING FUTURE FOR ALL - CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

For 18 years the Y facility has been a hub where we gather as a community to learn, grow, play and connect. We are excited
to provide new spaces, programs and opportunities which will serve our upcoming community needs and ensure a thriving Y
for future generations.  Our goal is to raise $4.5 million to renovate current spaces of the Y facility to enhance our Youth Development programming, wellness options, and add a teaching kitchen.

If you are interested in supporting the future of the Y through this project, or want to learn more, please contact Executive Director, Tom Bolin at tbolin@marshallareaymca.org or (507)532-9622.

ANNUAL COMMUNITY SUPPORT

All donations stay, and are used, at the Marshall Area YMCA for scholarships for Membership, After School Programs and Summer Camp fees to help your neighbors, coworkers, and friends in our community.

The need for community assistance is needed each and every year.  2020 was a unique year that brought new challenges to the Marshall Area YMCA.  In March, the Y facility was closed due to the pandemic for general use and was able to restructure efforts to meet urgent community needs:

  • 73 children continued their education with us at the Y through Distance Learning allowing their parents the ability to continue to work
  • 603 seniors were connected to the Y through phone calls made by staff to provide assistance with any needs while at home
  • Virtual classes began to keep the community active and socially connected with one another.  The Y has now offered thousands of hours of virtual classes and programming since the beginning of the pandemic.

In 2020, the Marshall Area YMCA also had the ability to grant $83,656 in assistance to families, group homes, youth, and adults in the Marshall area to help 1,419 individuals utilize programs and services at the YMCA.  Throughout the campaign we have a great team of volunteer campaigners telling the story of the Y and asking you to make a contribution to the Y and the surrounding communities.  Thank you for supporting your YMCA and your community!

$50: Opens the doors to a child to experience their full potential.
$100: Provides siblings the ability to learn water safety skills in swim lessons.
$200: Keeps 8 older adults active and connected to the community.
$500: Gives a family bonding opportunities with an annual membership.
$1,000: Assists a family with child care services in Summer Day Camp or After School Program providing their children a safe place.
$2,500: Supports 100 children to learn, grow, and thrive through youth sports, arts & humanities, and membership.

When you donate to the Marshall Area YMCA, you make the communities of Marshall and surrounding areas better and the “us” who live in them stronger.

The YMCA is a 501(c) public charity.  Contributions of any size make a direct impact locally in Marshall. Donations are tax-deductible. Thanks to your support and generosity, the YMCA will not turn anyone away because of inability to pay.

Youth Development

All kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve, under the guidance of caring adults who believe in their potential. We see every interaction with young people as an opportunity for learning and development—all grounded in the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Healthy Living

We help people and families build and maintain healthy habits for spirit, mind and body in their everyday lives. By helping kids, adults, families and seniors from all walks of life improve their health and well-being, we build a stronger community.

Social Responsibility

With our doors open to all, we bring together people from all backgrounds, to support those in need. We take on the most urgent needs in our community and inspire a spirit of service in return. Our members, volunteers, supporters and staff demonstrate the power of what we can achieve by giving back together.
