Personal Training
The Marshall Area YMCA has Personal Trainers to assist members in reaching their health and fitness goals. The Marshall Area YMCA Personal Trainers are certified and capable of performing fitness assessments; one-on-one discussions to determine the member’s preference and short and long term goals; developing and implementing exercise prescriptions based on the member’s fitness assessment; reevaluations and adjustments as needed; and advice on making changes towards a healthier lifestyle. All sessions will last approximately 1 hour and will be scheduled at the member’s convenience. All package sessions will contain at least one fitness assessment and a written exercise prescription.
The fitness staff will use assessments to measure flexibility, body composition, muscular endurance, muscular strength, and aerobic capacity. These assessments will give the Personal Trainers a starting point for developing and implementing a very personalized workout program. The results will also be used as a measuring device for improvement and adjustments.
